One tool instead of many

Everything your brigade organises – in one place

In many brigades, each piece of information sits in a different place: events in Excel, arrangements in messenger groups, documents in private cloud folders, defects on scraps of paper. echoBOS brings them together – for the whole brigade, every department and every group.

echoBOS One app for everything iPhone, Android and browser
  • Events & duty roster instead of Excel lists and group emails
  • Secure chat instead of private messenger groups
  • File storage instead of private cloud folders
  • Reservations instead of booking sheets
  • Defect reports instead of notes on the vehicle
  • Deadlines instead of deadline spreadsheets
  • Polls instead of asking around in the group chat
  • Members & departments instead of member lists in Excel

You share folders, events and polls with the whole organisation, individual departments or individual groups – and every department and every group has its own chat.

Sound familiar?

Typical questions from the everyday life of a brigade – and where to find the answer in echoBOS.

“Who’s actually coming to the drill?”

Events with RSVPs show at a glance who is coming. You bring over your duty roster from Excel.

“Where’s the current alarm and response plan?”

In the file storage, with folders for the whole brigade, individual departments or groups.

“Is the crew van free on Saturday?”

You reserve vehicles, equipment and rooms in the calendar, with approval from the people responsible.

“Has anyone reported the defect on the rescue pumper?”

You report defects with a photo and operational status. Whoever handles defects sees the status and the person responsible.

“When is my next G 26.3 medical due?”

Deadlines for breathing apparatus, driving licences or training courses remind you in good time before they expire.

“The info got buried in the group chat.”

Every department, every group and every event has its own chat – on servers in Germany, without private mobile numbers.

Everything in one app

What currently sits in Excel lists, folders and separate programs, you organise in one place – and all members have it with them in the app.

  • Reservations for vehicles, equipment and rooms, with approval
  • Defect reports with photo and operational status

Your brigade, your structure, your rules

Everyone knows where official information can be found: your organisation invites the members, sets up its departments and groups and decides who may do what.

By invitation only

Access is by invitation from your organisation only. There is no self-registration; members sign in to the app with their personal invitation code.

Departments and groups

You set up platoons, local stations, the youth fire brigade or breathing apparatus wearers as departments and groups. Events, polls and folders are aimed specifically at them.

Permissions by role

You decide who may create events, approve reservations, handle defects or start chats.

People in charge of each unit

You appoint people in charge of departments and groups – if you wish, with their own permissions to assign and invite members.

Secure chat for brigade business

Every department and every group automatically gets its own chat, and every event gets one for the people invited. That way, official arrangements no longer need private messenger groups.

  • Department and group chats are created automatically
  • A chat for the people invited to every event
  • Members chat without revealing their mobile number
  • Push notices without names or message text
  • Servers in Germany, no advertising and no tracking in the app

Frequently asked questions

Yes. You plan drills and meetings with RSVPs, reserve vehicles and equipment in the calendar, and your firefighters report defects directly at the vehicle, with a photo. You keep track of deadlines such as driving licences, safety briefings or the G 26.3 (respiratory protection medical), and you set up local fire companies or departments as units of their own.

No. echoBOS is not an alerting system. It organises everyday life between call-outs: duties and drills, equipment, defects, deadlines and coordination within the team. Alerting continues to run through the systems your organisation uses for it.

Only a neutral notice such as “New notification: Chat”. Names, message texts and the titles of events or defect reports are not included; they can only be seen in the app itself. This matters because, technically, push notifications are always delivered via Apple or Google.

Yes. In the web application, administrators download an Excel template, enter the members together with their departments and groups, and import them all in one go. The import only creates new accounts; existing members remain unchanged.

Yes. In the web application, administrators download an Excel template, enter the events and import them all in one go. Before the import, echoBOS shows a preview with every error it has detected, and an import can be undone within a set period.
