Deadlines – expiry dates at a glance

Driving licence, safety briefing, next G 26.3: administrators enter the expiry dates once. echoBOS sends automatic push reminders, and every member sees their own status in the app they already use every day.

25 suggestions for emergency services

From the accident-prevention briefing (UVV) to driving licence C/CE, breathing protection and the youth leader card (Juleica): 25 ready-made deadline types in 8 areas, added in a few clicks.

Your own deadline types

Anything else that applies in your organisation can be added as your own deadline type – with its own name and a short description.

Automatic push reminders

By default 30 and 7 days before expiry and on the expiry day – via the same push notifications as events and chat. At most one deadline notification per day.

Everyone sees only their own

Members see only their own deadlines, in the app and on the web. Only administrators have the overview of everyone.

Weekly overview for admins

On Mondays a short overview whenever deadlines in the organisation have expired or are about to expire – otherwise it stays quiet.

Expiry dates only

Only the date until which a certificate is valid is stored. No medical findings, no copies of documents, no deployment clearance.

My deadlines – for every member in the app

Every member sees at a glance which of their certificates are current, which are about to expire and which have expired – clearly colour-coded, most urgent first.

  • Three states: current, expiring soon, expired
  • Valid-until date and days remaining for each deadline
  • Warning period of 14, 30, 60, 90 or 120 days
  • The same overview on the web under “My deadlines”
  • Entered and kept up to date by the administration

Managed on the web, visible in everyday use

Deadlines are first of all an administrative tool: administrators maintain the dates comfortably on the web. But they are meant to reach the crew – and that is exactly where they appear: on the app’s start screen, right next to pending event responses and polls. Anyone who uses echoBOS for events, chat and polls keeps an eye on their deadlines along the way.

  • “Fristen erneuern” (renew deadlines) under “To do” on the start screen
  • One tap leads straight to your own deadline overview
  • No extra app, no separate login, no paper list
  • Fewer follow-up questions and phone calls for the administration
  • Can be activated as a separate module per organisation

Reminded automatically – via the existing push notifications

Deadlines use the same notification interface as events, polls and chat. echoBOS reminds every member on its own; nobody has to compare lists or send circulars. The lock screen only shows “Erinnerung: Fristen” (deadline reminder) – no deadline type, no date, no name.

  • Default reminders 30 and 7 days before expiry and on the expiry day
  • Several due deadlines in one notification – at most one per day
  • Content-neutral on the lock screen
  • Push can be switched off per member, the overview in the app remains
  • Weekly overview for admins on Mondays when deadlines are coming up

For administrators: everything in one place

On the web, admins enter the expiry dates for each member and see the whole organisation at a glance – grouped by deadline type and filtered by what is coming up.

  • Overview by deadline type with filters: open, expired, expiring soon
  • Adopt deadline types from the suggestions or create your own
  • Enter the date directly on the member – a new date replaces the old one
  • Notice on the web dashboard when members’ deadlines are coming up
  • New entries are available to the member right away in the app and on the web

The reminder is an aid, not a guarantee. The original certificates remain authoritative; responsibility for deployment remains with the governing body and the leadership of the organisation.
